NASCOH is the premier umbrella body for more than 50 organizations of and for persons with disabilities in Zimbabwe. Founded in 1969, we have spent over five decades serving as the collective voice for disability rights, rehabilitation, and inclusion. We operate as a Private Voluntary Organization (PVO), ensuring that the rights of persons with disabilities are not just a footnote, but a priority in national policy

Our advocacy is grounded in the Social Model of Disability. Historically, disability was viewed through a "Medical Model," which saw the individual's impairment as a problem to be fixed. NASCOH has been instrumental in shifting this narrative in Zimbabwe.
